Tony Banfield
Through Cathy Farber, we have heard from Val, Tony Banfield's wife that he died about two weeks ago. All had hoped his throat cancer had been caught early. Unfortunately this wasn't the case and in April, following an operation, he was told it had spread and that nothing more could be done.
Val is aware that Tony's contributions to Stained Glass News made him many "friends" (and probably a few enemies). They certainly entertained us all hugely. He was a lively and prolific contributor to our message board, and to stained glass in the UK. He will be sorely missed by us all. Our hearts go out to Val. RIP, Tony.

O.V.G. Exhibition at Ravenstein, NOW ON!
The Netherlands
Following on from their successful 10th anniversary exhibition in 2008, the OVG (The Dutch association of Glaziers) is holding a further exhibition of work by its members. The exhibition is to be held in the flat glass and enamel art museum in Ravenstein in the Netherlands from March 14 to July 18 2010. It will feature the work of up to 20 stained glass artists, reflecting different techniques of flat glass art.
Sounds like a must-see if you are in Holland at all.
